GPL Violations

No GPL licence text was included with the x8500D printed material nor in any of the help Menus.

I have searched for the GPL sources on the support website and sony developer sites but only the android SDK plugin is available. Where is the kernel source tree? And build root SDK for this product?

X8500d x85d android kernel Linux GPL

Re: GPL Violations

I found sources here for this and related models

http://oss.sony.net/Products/Linux/TV/KD-55XD9305.html

It appears near impossible to build without their build chain however

Re: GPL Violations

Having spent some time on this  this afternoon. There appears to be a bunch of references in the kernel to headers which are not packaged in reference to some Buildchain/sdk that is not available. This appears to be good gounds for a GPL violation at this point as the provided source does not enable one to build a working binary.
