I recently updated my tv with the latest update and it has caused a communication lag (almost a full minute) with my sound bar when I power on the tv. As a result the soundbar no longer works properly with the HDMI connection.
I have another Sony TV with a newer soundbar there is a delay albeit not as long and the soundbar still works. I bought that same newer soundbar and it had the same issue. I spent over an hour with customer service and they tried everything including remoting in and could not figure it out. My tv and soundbar are no longer under warranty but there is no reason a software update you forced on me should remove functionality.
