NO POWER TO XBR-65X930D - Quickly repaired.

On Saturday 9/30 the power would not come on the XBR-65X930D TV.  I called 888-222-7669.  Customer Servicer walked me throught trouble shooting... no joy.  He said that he would submit trouble report and I would receive an email on Monday... actually I received an email on Sunday 10/01 acknowledging trouble report and another on Monday stating part was on order.  Wednesday 10/04 I received a call from a tech stating he could install the part that day.  He arrived a few short hours later and quickly replaced the display board.    

Sad this is an on going issue with expensive the Sony TV.... happy with the customer service and quick fix.    Thank you Sony

Sometimes Sony does get it right. We mostly get gripes here but the satisfactory outcomes need reporting as well to keep things in perspective.

Yeah how long has this guy worked for Sony? Your custome4 service ******, known issues with a $3000tv and you offer a downgrade to replace it. Yeah till you fix the issue the right way no one should post positive comments about your poor customer service.

Really?  You must know that every week food is recalled, or appliance recalled or car parts recalled, baby seats etc.  I had my $40K car recalled for safety issues...I didn't cry, brought it to dealer and they fixed it....  Do you really think every company is perfect?  Stuff happens, and companies offer fixes.... I had a good experience with Sony, yes bummed it happened, but they fixed it.... that was my point.
