Seriously. Sony makes game consoles, but their 2017 TVs (X900E series) still have nearly DOUBLE the input lag the Vizio screens did last year with the same type of panel (VA panel). Are you kidding me!? Make TVs for gamers ******. 120hz, FALD, under 20ms in ALL sizes. I shouldn't have to buy a giant screen or tiny monitor to get a good gaming experience. I'm looking for one between 40 and 50 inch, and if Sony doesn't fix their input lag via firmware update by the time the rest of the 2017 models get reviewed, I'll probably have to go with another brand. This is ridiculous.
Input lag is hardly the only thing to judge a TV by. And in any case, in game mode the input lag is 35ms or less depending upon 1080p vs 4K which I think is hardly something that most gamers would consider unbearable. The <15ms difference is not exactly a make or break deal except perhaps at the highest levels of competitive gaming.
