I have the XBR65x900e connected to a STR DH770 and an Xbox One S. Regular Blurays and games play fine, but if the signal is in 4k the screen either cuts out repeatedly, or will not show any signal at all. I have ensured the Xbox is set up for 4k and HDR, and all the HDMI ports on the TV are set to enhanced. I tried to bypass the receiver and connected the Xbox directly to the TV to no avail. All my HDMI cables are monoprice high speed HDMI. Any suggestions?
Thanksnfor the response. I am using the 3rd port (Arc) on the TV. My HDMI cables are all high speed. The irritating thing is that it worked briefly, but it was cutting in an out, almost like the signal was being interrupted. I tried changing to a new cable and connecting the Xbox directly to the TV, and it would no longer recognize 4K at all. Regular 1080p signal is fine. The original cable yeolds the same results.
Did you figure it out? Have the elite and I know it won't push 4k. Bs $500 I should have waited but I digress.. anywho, your S can only handle 30fps at 4k, so make sure your t.v. settings are auto or whatnot. Try game mode. As for movies on the S, idk. Have a shield connected to a 55xbr900e...
Oh and you say cables are high speed, but are they hdmi 2.0? Other than that, it was prob just a setting like I mentioned.. I'm sure by now you should have it figured out, but do reply, so others can learn as well. Thanks!
