Do you think the AS50 is the same?

I honestly don't know. It looks to me as it has the same back as the AZ1 - so no micro-HDMI-output, nor a mic-jack.

I cannot see where I can mark your post as an acceptable solution Smiley Happy

Oh, that only works if you are OP.

Re: Can you live stream video to computer using Sony Action Cam X1000V 4K?

Thank you all for your answers.

YES - I have also tried various modes, and found that there IS live video output via the HDMI connection when in the MOVIE mode, and the camera obviously plays back via HDMI cable fine.  I was hoping that it coudl do that wirelessly, as I have various devices (media player, receiver) connected via WiFi ... and the camera obviously outputs WiFi to connect to the LVR-2 remote.

FYI - I have the AS-200V; don't know about the other models.

If you have a HDMI capture card (ROXIO, Elgato) it works - otherwise it doesn't.

Re: Can you live stream video to computer using Sony Action Cam X1000V 4K?

It seems a silly limitation to enable the wifi to stream video to the "wristwatch" remote, but not to a gneral wifi client like a laptop. It is such an obvious thing...

HDMI is a hassle because most laptops have no HDMI input, and the cable is thick and heavy.

Nevertheless, a 1000V with external power and HDMI (2 cables to feed through a hacked waterproof housing, in some applications) will run for ever, which is very relevant to some people.

Re: Can you live stream video to computer using Sony Action Cam X1000V 4K?

If streaming of x1000v is via HDMI, does it it capable at streaming 1080p at 120fps? How about 720p at 240fps?  I think the HDMI standard limit is at 120fps.

I can't test it, since I don't have any screen which can display more than 60fps - but I assume 60fps is also the limit..

Hi johnnykl,

Welcome to the Sony Community!

For some Sony TV's are capable of  streaming 1080p at 120fps.You might want to check your TV's specification
