Re: wifi password action camera

Just connect the camera to your PC/MAC with the provided micro-USB cable and open the internal storage of the camera.

In the folder you should be able to see a wifi.txt file where the password is stored.

There is no default, yet you can connect to it via NFC, if your smartphone supports it.

Near Field Communication

Activate WiFi on the camera and NFC on the smartphone - then tap the two NFC-symbols together and your smartphone will automatically connect to your camera and open the PlayMemories Mobile App.

It looks like this (sorry, German video).

If you have any PC or MAC nearby, you can also connect your camera with the micro-USB-cable and open the internal memory to find a wifi.txt file, which holds the WiFi-password or the camera.

If you have trouble accessing the internal memory of the camera, take the memory card out of the camera before connecting it to the PC.

Re: wifi password action camera

When my PC is connected to the HDR-AS100V, I see the MicroSD card. I took the SD card out, the computer doesn't see an internal drive, storage, or wherever that folder and info is supposed to be.

Re: wifi password action camera

Is your camera switched on, when you connect it via the micro-USB cable?
