10-Bit Alpha ILCE Family Future ?

Now that Panasonic is bringing the GH-5 onto the market by late March this year,

I think it would be a good idea for Sony Product Development team to have a good hard look at their competitor:

Whilst the GH5 is a MFT, it packs a punch with internal 4K - 10-Bit 4:2:2 30p and external 4K - 10 Bit 4:2:2 50p.

Even though V-LogL profiles are a pay-to-use option, this may present a very attractive solution for serious indie film makers that want to use LOG profiles to make the most of the camera's dynamic range.

As it presents itself with the Alpha series 8-Bit XAVC-S codec, LOG is extremely difficult to grade without the picture degrading quickly (to the point it becomes unuseable) because of the distinctive lack of bit depth per stop in the shadows & highlights.

Maybe (...after fixing the 'Soft 1080'), some time and effort could be put into investigating avenues for 10-Bit Video, perhaps as a paid add-on, external, restricted to lower resolutions/framerates, without presenting another new sister product in 3 months?

BTW, As a user, I would also be happy to have LOG as a pay-to-ugrade option.
