Sony has never offered a battery pack/vertical grip for any of the APS-C size E-Mount cameras.

whilst there's no battery grip, you should be able to power externally via USB, alternatively you could consider dummy batteries with a power plug. or buy more batteries

No. The USB Port can only be used to charge the battery while the camera is turned off. You can't run the camera off the USB Port. If you turn on the camera, the USB Port can only be used to transfer movies and photos.

You can power the camera from USB. It works since the A7II on mirrorless cameras. (A7sII, A7rII, a6300, a6500)
