Re: How do I play .MTS files on my Windows XP computer?

Hello msstidge.
Welcome to Sony Community and thank you for the post.

When AVCHD video is copied to a computer, the file is saved as an .M2TS or .MTS file format that some versions of Windows Media Player may not support.
For playback on a computer running a compatible Microsoft Windows operating system, use the Picture Motion Browser (PMB) software or the PlayMemories Home (PMH) Software supplied with the Camera.

You can follow the below link to know about the compatible Softwares that can be used for viewing and editing AVCHD videos.

Thank you.

MTS Video Converter is an ideal MTS Converter that converts MTS to AIV, MTS to WMV, MTS to MPEG, MTS to MKV, MTS to FLV, MTS to 3GP, etc.

Re: How do I play .MTS files on my Windows XP computer?

Hi guys,
In fact, many programs such as Sony included software or 3rd editing or conversion software can help you to enable MTS files playback on XP computer. But here introduces an easier tutorial and really hope it works. http://www.aunsoft.com/convert_and_play_panasonic_avchd_avchd_lite_with_media_player_classic/
