Recently my BDP-S1700 blu-ray player stopped turning on. I verified that everything was still plugged in correctly and I tried unplugging and replugging the player. I read that the problem could be that the fuse needs to be repaced, but I cant figure out where the fuse is. I can find no information on its location. Where specifically is the fuse located inside the BDP-S1700 Blu-ray Player? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also I apologize if this post is in the wrong place. I'm very new here. Thanks.
We are sorry to hear that the player is not turning on. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue.
Make sure thepowercord is securely connected to the player and plugged into a working electrical outlet.
IMPORTANT: After plugging the player into an electrical outlet for the first time, wait 10 seconds before trying to turn on the power.
Try turning on thepowerby pressing thePOWERbutton on the front of the player.
NOTE:If the player turns on by pressing thePOWERbutton on the front, but not with the remote control, then the batteries in the remote control may need to be replaced. Also, make sure nothing is blocking the infrared (IR) sensor on the player.
If the player is connected to the TV via HDMI® cable, disconnect the HDMI from the player and press thepowerbutton again on the unit. Once the unit is on, turn off theControl for HDMIfrom theSystem Settings menu.
If possible, try a different high-speed HDMI cable
