Sony BDP-S5500 - Netflix does not work anymore

Hi,

 

I purchased the BDP-S5500 in the Netherlands, especially for Netflix and it worked fine. Now we have moved to Curacao (Caribbean) and now it does not work anymore. The Netflix icon disappeared and I cannot add it anymore. Does anyone know how i can solve this?

Welcome to the Sony Community!

 

Availability of applications varies from region to region. Chances are, Netflix may not be available in your current location (based on your IP address). Additionally, the Bluray player that you have is not capable of downloading and installing applications. 

 

My suggestion would be contacting Netflix to check if it is available there in the beautiful island of the Caribbean, or visiting our Sony Global Website for information on contacting the Sony Support Center in your region at http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/Support/. Due to proximity, they are in a better position to provide support.
