I worked with two Hulu representatives for half an hour to try to remedy the problem of Hulu Plus programming being stopped at early June on my Sony BDP-S370 player. Occasionally, I see the thumbnails for new programs on new episodes on Hulu Plus. But if I try to play these I get Retry: Service is down.
It came down to Sony BDP-S370 no longer being able to "provide the full Hulu experience." Is this the case with newer Sony Blu-Ray players as well? Hulu is claiming that if the player does not have the Bravia name, it can't "offer the whole Hulu" anymore.
Am I SOOL? Do I now have to get a new blu-ray player if I want to see new Hulu programming on the big screen? Chromecast is not supported, of course. The only thing left is hooking the HDTV cable to the TV, which is unwieldy.
