Re: wired router setup

OK if this helps I connected straight to my modems' ethernet port and was able to connect to the net, with the blu-ray player.

When I connect to the ethernet ports on my router I cannot connect.

Thanks for ANY help.

Re: wired router setup

Do you have DHCP turned on in your router?

If so let the unit get it's address automaticly. Subnet mask will be 255.255.255.000.. Don't forget to put in you Domain Name Server (DNS). Try 064.045.128.004 This will get your unit on the Internet.

Re: wired router setup

Well never could connect through the router.
Connected with the modem, and downloaded the firmware
update,now guess what......can't play a disc.

Is this player a joke or what???

Are there really any sony techs that read these threads?

Anyone suggest another brand of Blu-ray player?
