Looking at sony CX220 with NP-FV30 battery. How much video will the battery take? How to recharge?

We are looking at a Sony CX220 with NP-FV30 battery. How much video will the battery take? How do you recharge the battery-can it be plugged into a 110 outlet or must it be through the computer? Are there other longer life batteries available?

Hi Melglo,

 

The approximate continuous recording time when using a fully charged battery in the camcorder is 95 minutes.

The camcorder can be charged by connecting it to a running computer using the built-in USB cable.

You can also charge the battery by connecting the built-in USB Cable to a wall outlet (wall socket) using an AC-UD10 USB charger/AC Adaptor, which is sold separately.

 

Besides the supplied NP-FV30 battery, you can also use NP-FV50, NP-FV70 or the NP-FV100 batteries.  The approximate time available for recording when you use a fully charged battery pack are as follows:
