Live streaming HDR-CX405

I'm using the HDR-CX405 with a capture device to live steam.  My problem is it the camera automatically turns off because I'm not recording. How can I keep the screen active?

You might want to check the "Power Save" options.  Directions for turning "Power Save" off can be found here: http://helpguide.sony.net/cam/1440/v1/en/contents/TP0000557902.html

Re: Live streaming HDR-CX405

Hi Rookie, I saw you are using the HDR-CX405 to live streaming. Could you tell me how you do that? I've bought that camera and I want to learn how to stream.

Re: Live streaming HDR-CX405

I use Skype. Connect the camera to the dongle before you connect it to the laptop.  Then in Skype, you go to Tools/Options,  Video Settings and make sure you are using the hdmi capture for video.  You should see what the camera is seeing instead of what your laptop camera is seeing.

An HDMI capture dongle - I bought this one on ebay and it works fine:
