Mechanical Shutter in DSC-HX400V

Hi,

I want to use the DSC-HX400V to make several ten thousand shots. I am wondering if this camera has a mechanic shutter and if it might be an issue. I clearly hear a shutter noise, so I am sure it has one. If it has one, do you see a chance to deactivate?

Thanks in advance
Thomas

Re: Mechanical Shutter in DSC-HX400V

Mechanical shutters are rare on Cybershots, so I doubt that your HX400 has one. Most (if not all) Cybershots use an electronic shutter, where the image sensor is reset and the image is captured from the reset to the duration of the exposure time (shutter speed.)
