My wife has a Sony DSC-W830 and whenever she attempts to make a video, the camera randomly stops filming. It could last anywhere from several seconds to minutes, but it eventually stops filming. Does anyone know what might cause this? I know temperature could be an issue, however she only films indoors of some sort and this issue starts from when she first turns the camera on. Thank you.
Sorry to hear this issue. If you are just using the internal memory of the camera, try to adjust the image size. You cannot record movies to internal memory when the movie image size is [1280x720(Fine)] or [1280x720(Standard)]. Make sure the internal memory/memory card has enough room for new files. You may try deleting old files or use a different memory card. To further isolate this issue, you may follow the steps here: http://docs.esupport.sony.com/dvimag/2014/DSCW830_guide/en/contents/TP0000234071.html,
