Sony HX60v malfunctions after depleted battery changed.

It shows sort of system error.  It only starts operating after about 30 minutes of cooling?

2 years ago, I had same model and it had same problem too.

When battery changed, it allows to shoot as normal but it will not save and the screen get frozen or sometimes ask to switch off and on, that also does not work either, only way is to remove the battery (power off) and re-insert. It then ask to repair that data, it says repaired but always lost (most recent one).

I used to carry both cameras but now the older one is not repairable

Re: Sony HX60v malfunctions after depleted battery changed.

I guess it is a manufacturing defect of that model as I faced same problem with two cameras of same model.

If i do say 2 mins of each video recording continuously and if battery runs out then the prolem arrise after replacement.

I guess it need some cooling before I continue shooting. But 25-30 mins is long gap.  I need to buy another camera of same model to use as backup.  I like this model though and I have no other problem with it.
