Sam problem here I have restored it to factory settings. I need soeone from Sony to unregister it on there end so I can re-registered it.  I called the 800-number with no luck PLEASE help if someone can do it on there end.

I just purchased a used Sony My Dash HID-C10 last week.  

My second unit.  The 1st one I bought brand new.

 

I have done all the suggested reset procedures but I still cannot get the unit to register properly.

 

I keep getting either "Failed to Authorize" and / or "Device & Suit Mismatch".

I called the 239-768-7547 over 50 times and no one is answering.  Someone finally picked up the phone today, I asked if she can help with unregister the sony my dash I just bought and she hung up on me.

 

Is there anyone out there that can help reset my MAC address as I understand the issue is the dash cam is still registered to the previous owner.  Help please.  I've spent so much time on this issue already and it should be a simple fix.....

 

Sony My Dash model HID-C10.  Serial number: 8111798.  I can PM you my dash's MAC address.

 

Help please....

Please PM me the instructions as well.  I love my Dash HID-C10 but it still has my sons information, since he is now at college I would like to reset and create my own account with my own information.  Thank you.

Your replys are not applicable.

 

Those of us posting here have purchased a used Dash that is registered to someone else. We cannot just login and unregister it because we do not have access to the accounts of the prior owners.

 

Sony needs to create a mechanism for us to easily request a Dash be unregistered from a prior owner's account so that we can re-register them to ours.

I agree,  I have told 4 people that this was bought as a used model and I cannot un-register it.  It can only be done on your end.  Please list the "sony" people that are able to complete this task.  I am going on a month now and still keep getting no-where.

I'm lucky to have my issue resolved.


The previous owner of my dash unregistered his device at Sony mydash website.

After he unregistered the device he eMailed me.  one boot up and mydash worked properly.

 

No help from Sony.

 

Extremely disappointed.

Hi,

 

I am also stuck with a Dash HID-C10  that I can't unregister.

 

I am the original owner but can no longer access my account even with the password reset feature, it's as if my account didn't exist anymore. My account was created a long time ago at dash.chumby.com and my Dash is still registered and showing my old username...

 

I tried unregistering from the Dash itself to start fresh, but am getting the same error saying to check network connectivity, which is fine.

 

Any help would be appreciated!
