F55 Fan Stopped window

Hello Everyone,
A window popped up on the Camera body LCD screen that said "Fan stopped"...does that mean it is not working? I recently had my camera serviced and the latest firmware version is installed. Any comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Had this a couple of times over 3 years.. well alert in EVF .. but same thing.. once just blew in the vents.. other 2 times tiny burst of camnned air ..freed it up .. some tiny bit of fluff or hair or something.. if that doesnt do it maybe something more serious or just a big bit of fluff in there.. probobably got in during the service !..

Thanks for the response Bobby. I just blew it out. Same message unfortunately. Sounds like a trip to NJ.

Re: F55 Fan Stopped window

I blew some air around the top vents. I believe that is the only place...

Re: F55 Fan Stopped window

But if it's really bad you may need to open it up to get better access to the fans.

Been in a dessert?

Re: F55 Fan Stopped window

Have seen this on numerous occassions and always the same thing, usually debris of some descption such as small blade of grass, seed, or hair causing the fan to not freely rotate.

Simply remove the top plate (5 small screws) and then remove the offending obstruction with a pair of tweezers.

Far better than blowing any debris into the body of the camera.

Re: F55 Fan Stopped window

Ok, I call AbelCine. They mentioned to unscrew the top plate and move the fan gently back and forth...It worked!!! I've done some tests no issues. I think there was some dust in the rain jacket I used that night. Thanks for all the help everyone.
