Oh, well, I understand your anticipation.

Remember to do your All Resets after each upgrade.

Enjoy.

Re: NEW Version 8 firmware

Hi Peter,

Another job well done. Will we be seeing a Version 9 firmware for the F5/55 in the future?

If you could work on firmware for the viewfinder to apply LUTs in S&Q and then be able to change the false colour between S-Log 2 & 3 then that would finish the camera off nicely. Even if this is a paid for upgrade I believe it would be popular.

Anything else is a bonus. Cheers

Re: NEW Version 8 firmware

ok after recording a few interviews in 4k UHD 480 I inserted the SxS card into the reader and see the clips in the Content Browser, but trying to import into FCPX I don't see the clips.  Is there something different that I need to update to be able to see them?

Re: NEW Version 8 firmware

As far as I know, FCPX does not yet support XAVC class 480.  Maybe with the new version later this month?

Re: NEW Version 8 firmware

Okay, so now I'm ready to do my first update and the instructions say, connect to AC.  I don't have a cord, only a freshly charged battery.  I am assuming they say use power cord in case the battery dies?  I doubt it would die.  Any advice?

thanks, Mark

Re: NEW Version 8 firmware

Ive done 4 updates now all on fully charged battery.. yes its Sony covering there backside.. fair enough of course.. it takes about 10 mins or so.. read the instructions !.. there are 2 stages.. and the camera appears to die in the middle of them...! dont be alarmed it comes to life again.. just never switch it off.. if say after 30 mins it hasnt happened.. something is wrong..

Its best to fo an All Rest after the upgrade..

...and of course it says No FIle Found!  I have to figure out what I did wrong.  It's v6.0 and is ******,040kb.  Does that sound right?  It's the Bin file that was extracted.

Re: NEW Version 8 firmware

I see my figure did not display...file is 67.4 MB.  I copied it directly onto the SDHC card, no folder or such...
