Re: Welcome aboard!

Great to have a dedicated forum. Wish the F55 pricing would be announced soon. Too much speculation and hand-wringing going on around the net.

Re: Welcome aboard!

Very excited to see and try the new cameras, they look fantastic. I hope that there is some loyalty program for your F3 users to make the upgrade, but either way, this is a great leap forward.

I was waiting for Panasonic to do this exact thing with the M43 system, looks like I will be coming over to the dark side..

Re: Welcome aboard!

Yeah... I mean, how hard can it be. They either force us towards RED Epic with Dragon sensor, or they lure us in with nice speccs for a fair price.

Considering how much you have to buy extra to get an operating camera, I'm getting closer and closer to choosing RED over Sony, all though I like the Sony product better.

I simply don't understand why they are holding out for so long. Price does mean a lot... and the sooner they announce it, the more sure I think they can be in getting people to buy this on the paper nice F55

Re: Welcome aboard!

I seriously believe you can only get two years out of a camera now, and there is a ceiling for 90% of us owner-operators that says if we can't make a camera pay for itself within two years, then stay with the F3, C500, Alexa or whatever, and rent the newer camera.
