FS700 won't power down?

This has happened twice in the last two days during testing...

After turning the power button to OFF, the screen darkens, but is still "on"...I wait for over 30 seconds, does not shut off. I need to remove the battery to get it to completely power down. Plug the battery back in and turn it on and everything seems fine, but this has me a little worried as I have 2 big shoots coming up.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Re: FS700 won't power down?

Let me guess, are you using a Metabones or similar EF to E mount adapter?

I have seen this and other 'hinky' behavior from these adapters....often enough

that I have done a blog on this awhile ago

Well, there you go. Yes I was using my metabones adapter but with a ZEISS lens.

Thanks!

Re: FS700 won't power down?

Yeah, all I can say is that it often will work once you

restart the camera (pull battery out and totally start

the camera over).  But like I said in that blog post,

I eventually had a couple lenses that will no longer work

with the Metabones adapter.  Which is strange, because

I have 2 lenses that work perfectly to this day with it, and

2 lenses that have entirely stopped working with it.  All you

can do is make sure you have the latest firmware on the adapter.
