Do any headphones work with hearing aids in place?

A friend must use hearing aids to watch television; however, because he is bedridden and watches tv 24/7, I would like to give him headphones that would cancel out the tv speakers while allowing him to hear the audio.  To date, he says he always gets a ricochet sound between the hearing aid and the headphone output, which is very disconcerting.  Any suggestions?

Hi Peter,

Welcome to Sony Community!

Below mentioned is the link for latest Headphones:

You can turn OFF TV speakers so that sound will only be output from Headphones.

Re: Do any headphones work with hearing aids in place?

The problem occurs between the headphone and the hearing aid.  There is an echo effect that reverberates every tone.  Also, sometimes others in the room want to listen to the audio, so canceling the audio output would not help them.  I had not heard of this echo effect before;  every Sony headphone set has given excellent sound--but I can hear well.

Hi,

To the person who are partially impaired will receive a feedback i.e. echo sound, from the Headphone that is being used over the hearing aid and this is normal operation.
