MDR-100ABN headphones won't charge

Hello,

I have a brand new h.ear on wireless NC MDR-100ABN headphones.

I have plugged in the USB cable into 4 different computers, and each time the reaction is the same. The charging light flashes red for a second and then turns off, and my headphones don't charge.

I am doing this in room temperature conditions using a fresh, out-of-the-box pair. The headphones work otherwise with regular sound but the NC does not work.

Please can someone help?

i have the exact same problem with a MDR-100ABN headphone
have tried charging using different USB ports & leads with the same result

Re: MDR-100ABN headphones won't charge

No I never got an answer. It's not a very helpful community. As a result I've long since switched to a pair of Bose QC35 and won't ever be looking back at Sony. Recommend you do the same.

I have the same problem also, just started behaving that way yesterday.

I guess there is no solution?

Re: MDR-100ABN headphones won't charge

Hi Pswong3,

Welcome and thank you for considering SONY Community!

Please check the troubleshooting steps below.

-Check that you are using the micro-USB cable supplied.
-Check that the micro-USB cable is connected to the headset and the computer firmly.
-Check that the computer is turned on.
-Check that the computer is not in standby, sleep or hibernation mode.
-When using Windows 8.1 update using Windows Update.

Thanks,

>Joffrey

Re: MDR-100ABN headphones won't charge

Is there a solution to this? I am having the same issue.

Using the correct cable

Connected firmly

Mac turned on

Not on standby

Not using Windows

There is no solution. Just faulty Sony devices
