MDR1000X -- Overly sensitive microphone on voice call

Hi,

The microphone on the MDR1000X is picking up a lot of external noise during voice calls.

It's almost like when the voice call happens, the "ambient noise" feature is being broadcasted to the person who's receiving the call.

Is there any way to tune the sensitivity of the microphone down?

Thanks

Kevin

Hi Kevin_camera,

Welcome and thank you for considering SONY Community!

There's no specific option to adjust the sensitivity of the microphone.

You may try RESETTING and INITIALIZING the headphones for further assistance.

Thanks,

>Joffrey

Re: MDR1000X -- Overly sensitive microphone on voice call

Hi, I've reset my headphones many times to get features up and running -- none of those have helped.

It seems like the mics are amplifying the "ambient noise" while being on a call.

I have the same problem! I'm seriusly thinking about returning them send them back as DOA or something! I jave the Bose QC15 and wanted Bluetooth and the Sony's seemed to be the best... This pair is not better then the QC15.
