MDR1000x: faulty left side when wired + NC

Hi,

Since today (one week after purchase), my MDR1000x has a peculiar issue. When I use it wired and engage NC (with or without ambient functions), the left earcup emits a louder (NC?) hiss, and the sound is lower volume than the right side. When I turn off the headphone and run it passively through the cable, it works normally. Bluetooth + NC also works normally.

I tried resetting to factory settings (7 sec power button + ambient button) but unfortunately this has not resolved the issue.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Kind regards.
