how to clean sony noise canceling headphones

I work for a healthcare system and we are looking to purchase the sony noise canceling headphones (model #: MDR-ZX110NC) for patient use within the hospital.  I was looking at the instructions and there were really no guidelines as to how to properly clean/sanitize the headphones after uses, other than cleaning with a dry, damp cloth.  Is there anyone who can suggest possible cleaning techniques that would involve liquid cleaning/chemicals to sanitize without damaging the headphones?

that's tricky. might put the earcups in a sanitized bag or what. they're not waterproof sadly.

Great question! I think we damage so much equipment with the on the job sanitization and harsh chemicals. The cleansing product wipes and the rubbing eventually wears off products markings and fades colors, but it has to be done for patient protection. It would be great if they came out with a sanitizing wipe made especially for electronic products/plastics in the future.

I Just remembered, there's this sort of UV PHONE cleaner or they call it phone sanitizer. It might work with headphones?
