AV input on portable cd/dvd player

[ Edited ]

i read the specs on the sony portable DVD players and they say they have an AV output and input. you change this via a switch. so far i went through the manual and checked out the player and i can not figure out how to use the video jack as input. My reason for this is because i want to plug mr sony handycam into the DVD player to use it as a remore monitor.

The cable supplied with the DVD player will have to go into a switch box and the cable from the handycam will have to go into the same box because both have the same end plugs. So how do you go from out to in on the DVD? model DVP FX750 portable CD/DVD player

Hello Daves1812,

All connections on the FX750 are  outputs (2x Headphone Jacks, 1x Audio Out, and 1x Video Out ) These jacks can only function as outputs.   Please let us know where you found this information so that we may correct it.
