Re: STR-DN1050 and Music Center

After wondering why my app is not working, I came to know that it's not supported anymore. I bought dn1050 2 years back, mainly for this app control. It's very disappointing & frustrating that I can't use the app anymore. Is there any other app that can control this receiver now?

It seems there is no other way/app to control the device. Also no such thing for MacOS/PC.

I feel pretty much the same.

Well done Sony - you are real cheaters. Your reliability is a freakin joke!

Re: STR-DN1050 and Music Center

I find it shameful that Sony will do this to its customers and leave them hanging with no service for rather new receivers. I bought the STR DN1050 because of its network features and apps service. It is now rendered practically useless. Unless Sony rights this wrong, I will be actively discouraging friends and acquaintances from buying Sony products. The feeling I get is of betrayal and anger at such a cavalier attitude towards its customers.

Re: STR-DN1050 and Music Center

As an owner of an intentionally obsoleted DN1050, I am demanding that SONY Issue a voucher of $100 or more towards the purchase of a DN1080.

Re: STR-DN1050 and Music Center

Given what Sony did with this one, I would not spend a nickel on another Sony product. Your 1080 is likely to be obsoleted in another year or so.

100USD compensation? And what would I do with the almost new aplifier I bought 2 years ago? Throw it away and buy a new one (even if this magical voucher pops up)? Don't be funny. We all demand nothing but decent customer service and reliability.

Such treatment of its customers triggers nothing but rage. Something I won't forget EVER.
