Re: STR-DN1080 HDR

What I said is connect all through the receiver and change all color settings to AUTO in the TV and receiver and all other devices

Re: STR-DN1080 HDR

I don’t believe there is an auto setting for my TV. HDR10 was an update and the only way I am aware of activating it, is to set the UHD color to. When I do that and the receivers hdmi we set to enhanced, as required for 4.44, then i lose video and eventually audio. The television tells me that it is not receiving a signal from HDMI 1, which is the only input for 4k on my TV. However, when the PS Pro is connected directly to the TV, everything works as advertised.

Re: STR-DN1080 HDR

For you TV you said you have a Vizio E Series. Do this

1. HDR when connected to HDMI port 1 and with 'Full UHD Color' (sometimes called 'HDMI Color Subsampling') turned on for this port.

2. Color Space "AUTO"

In the STR-DN1080 Reciever

1. Enhanced format in the input that your PS4 PRO is connected my PS4 PRO is in input named "GAME".

2. Setting the color space conversion for the video signal from HDMI jacks set it to "AUTO". Not YCbCr (4 : 2 : 2),  YCbCr (4 : 4 : 4) or RGB. The PS4 PRO will output in FULL RGB regardless the setting in the receiver for color space you can verify it in the video setting in your PS4 PRO

It should work at least my does

Re: STR-DN1080 HDR

Are you using the correct inputs?

Re: STR-DN1080 HDR

Yes. UHD subsampling is on, Color space is at Auto, receiver out is connected to HDMI 1, which is the 4k hdmi on e-series. As soon as I change the receiver hdmi to enhanced...no signal.

Re: STR-DN1080 HDR

I don't know what it can be you said that it works for Xbox one? Try to use the input that your Xbox one is using in the receiver and see what happens.

Re: STR-DN1080 HDR

I actually had the same issue with XboxOne S. I am out of ideas. I may return the receiver and go with the Denon. Beyond frustrated.
