65" Bravia" 4k refuses to connect to wifi after three weeks of working great

Xbr-65x750d
Three weeks old and all of a sudden it decided to lose wifi connection through wps and wont connect back. I can log into the normal wifi coming out the router with our password. Even that becomes disconnected and connected at random now. Researching on here leads me to believe sony doesnt have a good answer which i find completely unacceptable for a brand new $1000+ tv! 👎🏻 Can anyone help?

Re: 65" Bravia" 4k refuses to connect to wifi after three weeks of working great

Hello Looneybin, thank you for your message. Welcome to SONY Community!

Network issues can be very frustrating because it can cause things like apps not to load, movies to buffer, music not to play properly or other errors.

Follow the steps to troubleshoot any network issue

1. Restart the router:

  • Turn off the wireless device.
  • Unplug both the router and modem.
  • Leave both the router and modem unplugged for 2 minutes.
  • Plug in the modem, and then plug in the router.
  • Allow 3-5 minutes for the modem and router to completely restart.
  • Turn on the wireless device.

2. Make sure the wireless device has the most recent firmware installed.

3. Make sure Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) is enabled on your router. Turn off MAC filtering or add the IP address of the wireless device in the DHCP table of the router. Temporarily disable encryption for the router; turn it back on after connection.

4. Enable the router to accept network pings. If the router is not broadcasting the SSID, temporarily configure the router to broadcast it; you can turn broadcasting back off after connection. Increase the number of DHCP users.

NOTE: The router may be limiting the number of devices that can be connected.

5. Error: Internet Access Failed: https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/35983

6. Performing a factory reset is recommended on the TV:

Hopefully, this post helps you.

Tried all the resets, plugged and unplugged nothing worked. Hard wired it with a cat5 and it worked fine. 2 days later the led screen wigged out and has been working off and on. One month old tv so sony is sending a replacement.

Hello,

I just got a Sony Bravia KD-70X690E 4K tv.  The wifi connection worked for 3 days, now I can't get it reconnected.  I spoke to a Sony representative for 2 hours last night and we did everything possible to get it connected, plus I talked to my internet provider and they could not get it re-connected either.  Some of things I have noticed is, when I did either the Easy or Expert wifi connection, neither of them would show any available wifi connections. Another weird thing is when it said to manual add a IP address, the keyboard does not come up.  After trying a complete shut down and reboot, and trying several other things diagnosist test, and even trying to do a direct connect from my router to TV, still left me un-connected.  Also when I ran a connection test, it says Wired but I don't have any wired hooked into it. The Sony tech on the phone thinks my wifi card went bad.  Does anyone have any other suggestions before I take this huge 70 inch tv back?
