My Bravia TV will not connect to the internet.

My Bravia TV will not connect to the internet. I am using a wired connection and everything else is working except for my TV. I have tried to reset my TV, but it is still not working. Does anybody have any suggestions for me?

I am so very frustrated. Yet again updates to system which you are asked to do create problems. I had internet (wireless) to my home network then when I updated my system as recommended by Sony the tv now will not connect to my home internet. Makes me feel I should never update and just keep buying new television sets. That will help sony and their client support!

We're very sorry to hear about your TV. Are you getting any error message? If yes, what is the error message? Please provide the model number of your TV. You may refer to this link to locate the model number.

Hi, I cannot connect my TV to my new router,,,

My TV s model is KDL-32EX550,,it has an error code 1106.

Please perform the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Make sure the router is connected to the Internet.
  2. Perform a Network Setup again.
  3. Set the IP address on the router to a fixed setting.
  4. Set the Primary DNS on the computer to 8.8.8.8.

NOTE: Refer to the manual supplied with your modem or router for model-specific information regarding how to change the Primary DNS on a computer.

 

        5. Set the Primary DNS on the Internet video device to 8.8.4.4.

Please check your internet connectivity, kindly follow the steps below for the suggested troubleshooting guides:

  1. Using the supplied remote, press the Home button.
  2. Select Help.
  3. Select Customer Support.
  4. Select Internet Connectivity Symptoms.
  5. Press the Enter button.
    NOTE: The connection diagnosis will start and the diagnosis result will be displayed on the TV screen.

If the issue still unresolved,  We kindly recommend visiting our Sony Global Web site for information on contacting the Sony Support Center in your region at http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/Support/.

On the TVscreen where you verify your network settings, set the Primary DNS to 4.2.2.2 and set the Secondary DNS to 8.8.8.8

My Bravia TV has stopped connecting to the internet.

I have a Bravia TV KDL 32W700B.

Last year we had no trouble accessing internet whenever we wanted and set up went smoothly.

Last week we went away for a few days and switched our appliances off, including TV and Modem.

TV now says it is not internet connected.

I have tried the Set Up option.

It recognised my modem/WiFi internet connection but when I put in the WPA it does not accept it.

It says 'Router not found, check your SSID again'.

The SSID is correct as it is my internet provider. I have put my phone and tablet on Wi Fi option and both accept and use this without problem.

I have tried switching TV and modem off, but  didn't help.

Any solutions?
