Netflix button not working

[ Edited ]
  1. Everytimes I press netflix button on the remote it said To use this feature, this tv must connected to the internet. Do you want to go to network setup to execute your network settings? I've LAN connected on my tv. There's no problem to open netflix from home page. I tried to reset my tv but doesn't help. Model 49x800d

Re: Netflix button not working

Hi doritosarebae

Thank you for your post!

Did this same msg displayed out when pressing Google Playstore button on the remote control? Have you also tried using WIFI and if yes, does the same issue persist? Was it working previously?

Thanks!

Re: Netflix button not working

Hi doritosarebae

Thanks for your reply.

I will share this issue with our respective engineers to see if there are any possible solutions. Alternatively, I would suggest to contact your nearest Sony Service Centre for on-site technicians for further diagnosis.

Also, you mentioned that you have reset the TV, did you do a power or factory reset? If you have performed a power reset, try doing a factory reset instead and see if it helps to resolve the issue. You are refer to this FAQ link for steps on how to perform a factory reset.

(Be aware that if you perform a factory reset, all of the TV's data and settings (Wi-Fi and wired network setting information, Google account and other login information, Google Play and other installed applications, etc.) will be erased, and the TV will return to how it was at the time of purchase.)

Thanks!

Re: Netflix button not working

Hi doritosarebae

Below are the steps to perform power reset:

  1. Turn off the television.

IMPORTANT: For a projection television that uses an internal lamp, wait 5 minutes after turning off the television to allow the lamp to cool before continuing with the following steps.

  2. Unplug the television power cord (mains lead) from the electrical outlet.
  3. Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord (mains lead) back into the electrical outlet.

NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.

  5. Turn on the television.

However, if you already have performed factory reset and it still doesnt work, it is usually not necessary to do a power reset anymore.

By the way, you mentioned that when pressing "Google Playstore" button on the remote, it shows a different message. What is the message displayed on the TV?

Also, what is your current software version on the TV? The latest software version is PKG6.2508.0050PAA. If you are not updated to this latest version, you can try updating it first and see if it helps to resolve your issue.

Re: Netflix button not working

I can't remember what message displayed on the tv, it said something like unable to connect to the internet/unable showing contents. And yeah, my tv are running latest android 7.0 version. And I thought maybe it will fix the issue after I updated my tv, but problem still there

Re: Netflix button not working

Hi doritosarebae

Did you try pressing the "Netflix" button after you have on the TV for a while? By the way, what is your full TV model no?

Thanks!
