Smart TV will not connect to internet; "not in range"

Model: NSX-40GT1 


My smart tv has not been able to connect to the internet for over a year now – nothing has worked. The wifi connection is fine; every device in my house can connect to the wifi. My tv used to be able to connect to the internet just fine, however, it suddenly stopped being able to find any network around me. I typed in my wifi network and it says that it is "not in range" though my router is placed very close to the tv. I've tried changing the wifi airport channels, factory reset the tv, changed dhcp to static and manually typed in the IP address – everything! I even called SONY support and they couldn't help me. I have another smart tv in my house that connects just fine to the internet, so why can't my SONY tv connect?

I'll take any advice I can get! However, dumbing down your advice would be very helpful for me. Smiley Happy
