DPT-RP1 file transfer very slow (100 kBps)

[ Edited ]

I'm trying to use the Digital Paper app to transfer some PDFs to the DPT-RP1 over USB, and it's taking forever. This is on Win10 with the Fall Creators Update installed.

To see what's going on I checked the Win10 task manager > performance tab, from there opened the Resource Monitor, when to the Network tab, and I see that the DP app is transferring AND receiving about 100kB per second. Since some of my files are 150MB, this is going to take a while, as in 'half an hour per file'.

What could be the reason for this super slow transfer? Bad cable? Bug? I have plenty of space left, and my PC is not working hard on anything else, and doing just fine in general.

Edit: after two files the DP app gave 'The operation cannot be performed', error code 2F-3FF0-9C4B.  That doesn't tell me much..

Edit 2:  some DPT reboots, disconnect reconnect, Laptop reboots later I was able to do transfer the fast way. Up to 2MBps each way. Something's very flaky about the USB connection though, equally flaky with two different USB cables and three different USB ports (2 local, 1 on a hub). I hope it's not a firmwire issue or the connector on the DPT.. Smiley Frustrated

Nothing new to report unforunately. The good news is that it hasn't happened since the original post, but the bad news is that I don't know why it happened, and what solved it.
