Dose sleep mode with selecting picture consume batt energy more than without showing one?

Thank you for your question - actually it really shouldn't make any difference.  Battery power is consumed when an E ink display changes but not during the time the page itself is displayed, so matter what you have on the screen the power consumption should stay the same.
