Syncing to same OneDrive folder on two separate PCs?

I have the DP app set up to sync the DPT with one of my OneDrive folders, which works great on my Surface Pro 4.

I often use a different laptop that has that same OneDrive folder locally available. Ideally I'd like to be able to use the DP app on that second laptop to also sync to the same OneDrive folder. Should this be possible, and is there a recommended way to do this?

I tried just setting the same (local) OneDrive folder as the sync folder in the DP app which seems to work, but the app gives error 17-0000-0000. If I then right click on the synced folder in the app and choose 'Open sync folder' the app says "the sync folder could not be found on the computer, listing the folder location with forward slashes. Not sure what's going wrong here.

Has anyone gotten something like this to work, and if so, how?

I had this working without any problems since June. After upgrading on PC with the latest Wndows 10 fall creators update last week, the digital paper app will no longer sync files and folders stored on onedirve.  At first I was getting the error code you listed, but after deleting the sync settngs and recreating them, I didn't get the error code and I could use the "open sync folder" option, but none of my files would sync. I would get an two errors for every file (one for the PC side, and one for the RP1 side). I have not found a solution yet. My other PC that has not been upgraded still syncs without any issues. It would appear that something Microsoft adjusted in the onedrive client has broken the digital paper app. It must be using a non-standard call of some sort.

Good point, I only tried to sync with the second machine AFTER updating both systems to the Fall Creators update. I haven't even checked back to see if the original machine still syncs OK. I'd have expected many more threads if this broke for everyone though. Maybe something specific about our config?

I think there will be more people (probably already are). I think there are a limited number of people who have bought the RP1 and are trying to sync with a onedrive folder. Also, my update happened less than a week ago, so a lot of people haven't upgraded yet.

Re: Syncing to same OneDrive folder on two separate PCs?

FYI, I have received the same error message -- 17-0000-0000 -- a number of times with my DPT-RP1, whenever it refuses to sync a folder.  Nothing to do with a OneDrive folder in my case; I'm just trying to sync, via USB, via folders on my MacBook Air, currently running "Sierra" 10.12.6.  Synching works great most of the time, but for some unknown reason sometimes it does not.  Personally, would dearly like to know what "17-0000-0000" means.

This still seems like the most likely scenario. In this related thread Sony Employee @bck wasn't able to reproduce the problem. FWIW, I was able to drag and drop any non-syncing files from the DPT to the OneDrive folder, so the DPA can handle file transfer to a OneDrive folder, but for some reason the automated version of the same process fails.

You were right, there was at least one more! Smiley Happy  Over in the other thread, user @bfReader (who is now my bffReader) wrote down step by step instructures that (may) fix this. Looks like the problem involves the 'download files on demand' setting in the updated  OneDrive client. I haven't checked if this fixes things for me, but it sounds promising!
