Re: Amazon Instant Video

Just encountered an interesting problem with Amazon Instant Video. I can access AIV either through my TV (XBR-65X900) or my Blu-ray player (BDP-S6200). Both devices are served by a wired gigabit Ethernet connection through different ports on the same gigabit switch. I've assigned fixed IPs to both devices. AIV works great when accessed through the Blu-ray player. When accessed through the TV I often have hesitations during playback or a message pops up telling me that I have insufficient band width. Anyone have any insight as to why I'm seeing such a difference in performance?

Re: Amazon Instant Video

My XBR55X810C is not listed on Amazon even though I bought it from them. How do I register it on amazon prime when the model number isn't listed?

Re: Amazon Instant Video

Great question for which I do not have an answer. However, I would go to the Amazon website on your computer and seek their help with this. My experience with using this help has always been good, resulting in quick replies and solid fixes.

You are asking to register your TV on Amazon Prime...do you mean to say Amazon Instant Video?

Good luck!

Re: Amazon Instant Video

This is a very late reply, but it might help someone out.
Try changing the permissions in the app settings. You can do this my pressing the home button, scroll down to settings at the bottom, enter app menu, scroll down to the AMAZON VIDEO app. Enter the permissions menu and enable the storage permission.
This worked for me, hope it's helpful for someone out there!!

Re: Amazon Instant Video

It was off on my TV ... and now its ON it seems better already.  But I'll need a few days to be sure its actually helped.

Thanks for the pointer (Amazon has been absolutely horrible to deal with, and Sony support was also unhelpful).
