2006 40" Sony Bravia LCD with 3 hdmi input plugs. Do these work?

I have tried connecting my cable box (Motorola DCT3416(Comcast) via hdmi cabling to my 2006 Sony Bravia LCD 40" tv, which has 3 hdmi input plugs.   The tv does not get a picture or sound.   I also tried connecting a Sony blu-ray BDPS390 to the tv via hdmi cabling.   It did not work.   This was tried with cabling direcly to the tvt.  Is there some setting or something I have not done or done wrong?

What is the exact model # of the TV? It can be located on the rear panel of the TV and starts with the letter “K”.

Did you use different HDMI cables for connecting the Motorola cable box and Blu-ray Player?

Ensure that the correct input was selected in the TV.

Perform factory reset (https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/42994/c/65,66/kw/42994).

Check if any Firmware updates are available for the TV. If it is available, then install the Firmware.

If the issue is still unresolved after following all of the troubleshooting steps, service may be required. Locate the nearest authorized service centers from the below link.
