My hdmi input on my LCD tv has just stopped working. I have usedthis single input for years with no difficulty. Sony does not have any suggestions except to take it to an authorized repair shop.
Any suggestions? And can I replace the female input myself?

It is not recommended to replace internal parts such as HDMI ports on the TV by end user as it may damage the internal circuitry.
