My XBR65C930D went dark yesterday too. It wont boot up or reset. Can you please let me know what my options are? Unfortunately, I got this TV as a gift and its just a little over a year old.

You'll need to contact Sony Support. 800-222-7669. If you tried all the reset options on the television they will have to come out and probably replace the motherboard, which is generally the fix for this problem.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. Have you tried adjusting the TV settings? You may try the following adjustment to isolate the issue:

 

  • Reduce the Backlight Level in the Picture Settings Menu.
  • Turn the Light Sensor setting to On in the Setup Menu.
  • Change the Power Saving setting to Low or High in the Setup Menu.
  • Set the Picture Mode to Standard in the Settings Menu.
