I am having a Sound issue with my Sony TV model KDL-60EX645, it is connected to my Sony receiver model HT-SS380, they sync is working but no sound is coming out on the receiver. The TV displays the change from TV speakers to home theater, but still no sound. Do I need to connect an optic cable to resolve this problem? Does the TV not have ARC tech in it and that is the reason why it is not working?
Welcome to Sony Community forum. Yes, you are correct; this model (KDL60EX645) does not support ARC feature and you will need a optical cable connection between your TV and your Home Theater System to get your audio output to your Home theater System.
My problem is sound will not come out when I switch to Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Bluray.. I have the Sony HT-CT500 sound bar and subwoofer, and the 60EX645. Do I need an optical cable and what port would I plug it into?
