KDF-50E2000 Rear Projection lamp

Projection lamp went..ordered a new 1..misplaced the door lamp so the tv wld turn on nd turn rite back off then blink red 3 times..ordered a new door..still doing the same thing..what cld the problem be..please help!!

Hello Kearsten,

 

If the STAND BY indicator on the front of the TV flashes three times, then the lamp cover is not securely mounted. To resolve this issue, ensure the lamp cover is mounted securely.

 

Try power resetting the TV and check if it resolves the issue.

  • To power reset, turn OFF the TV and unplug the TV power cord from the electrical outlet.
  • Let it remain without power for 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.
  • If the TV is plugged into a power strip/surge protector, remove it from the power strip/surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet and turn it ON.

If the issue is still unresolved, service may be required. Use the following link to setup a repair for your TV.

There is a microswitch the door has to depress.. Try make sure it is seated properlly and that you got the correct door.
