KDL-50W805C not saving color temperature settings

I am having this issue where color temperature settings keep resetting. I am trying to use "Expert 1" color profile on game mode. Every time I turn the TV off for 10-30 minutes it seems to be using neutral settings again. At this point I am forced to go back into color settings where it is still displaying Expert 1, and scroll it to something else and back to Expert 1 and only then it displays the correct picture.

It is not only doing this with expert 1, I have also tried warm and cool but they all reset back to default upon restart.

This is happening on HDMI1. I have tried factory reset. Maybe there's something I'm missing here?  Is this a side effect of using game mode ?

Re: KDL-50W805C not saving color temperature settings

Found the fix:
Go to the settings page. While on it, go to picture settings, change to Vivid. While on Vivid, change the picture settings to mimic the settings that are set to the other inputs.

This picture settings menu, even tho is named Apps, is not the same as the one used by YouTube. Note: the music app and Kodi ( and possibly other apps you download may use this second APP video configuration, be aware, because if you change on the app, may change on the big icons page menu too).

Now , after 10 minutes, when turning the tv back on, you will notice there is no change in color temperature again.

This is the fix

Try it and tell me your results.

Re: KDL-50W805C not saving color temperature settings

After one day, discovered that the FIX.... only solves as the tv isn't gone to DEEP SLEEP MODE.

After two hours the tv goes to deep sleep and when you turn on again, it has the wrong color temperature again.

The fix only solves half of the problem -- it's only worth it you turn on the tv before 2 hours that you have turned it off....

So...

This IS NOT A FIX...

I am gonna try another thing.

To put all the inputs with the VIVID mode and change the VIVID mode to mimic the configurations from the CINEMA pro (the picture settings I use) and try and see if this fix it. it PROBABLY WONT.

This is just broke....

Your fix seems to work for me so far but I didn't test it enough to be sure. I might have disabled sleep trying to fix this in the past. I think it can be disabled somewhere in developer options.

Honestly android TV and sony really disappointed me.

Re: KDL-50W805C not saving color temperature settings

Ok so the above fixes didn't work.

I have found a new workaround: use the service menu to set color temperature. Those settings stick even between factory resets, work in all apps/inputs and bypass the ****** android menus altogether.

To get into service menu:

-Turn off TV

-press these buttons in sequence: i+, 5, vol+, power

-tv turns on into the menu, you can find WB settings in panel options
