HDMI Problems between XBR-55X855D Android TV and STB/Deco

This TV (XBR-55X855D) is having problems with STB / Deco connected through HDMI.

I'm working with Cable provider and also the manufacturer of the device itself. All the logs reflects HDMI conflicts and the result is that I have communication problems (delay when push a button) and only audio and not image.

I changed the STB, I changed 2 HDMI cables, I plugged in different HDMI ports and doesn't matter... the issue is still there.

I have another TVs and plugged in the same place of this one and the problem is only with the Sony one.

Any fix or workaround to this?

Any software update or recommendation?

regards,

Re: HDMI Problems between XBR-55X855D Android TV and STB/Deco

Good day cristian3,

Greetings and thank you for your message, we apologize for the delay on our response. Based on what you have described we could gather that TV remote is not responding properly when pressing any commands and also that you are not getting an image and only sound when selecting the input coming from your Set Top Box signal. If that previous information is correct we recommend trying the following changes through the TV settings and also on your Set Top Box settings:

TV :

  • Make sure you have the latest firmware version installed PKG3.915BRB or above.
  • press the HOME button, then select [Settings] — [External inputs] — [BRAVIA Sync settings] — [BRAVIA Sync control— [OFF].
  • Reboot the television by disconnecting it from the electrical outlet for 1 minute.

Set Top Box:

  • Instead of setting the audio output  to Dolby Digital® or DTS sound, try setting it to output PCM or 2-channel audio.
  • Set an specific output resolution like 1080i or 1080p
  • If you have the option 4 x 3 Override turn this feature Off.
  • Reboot your Set Top Box

If my post answers your question, please mark it as "Accept as Solution"

Re: HDMI Problems between XBR-55X855D Android TV and STB/Deco

Hi Jeannettez

I have some pics to support my answers (I cannot attach as part of the thread).

TV

  • Make sure you have the latest firmware version installed PKG3.915BRB or above. YES PKG3.915.0139LAB
  • press the HOME button, then select [Settings] — [External inputs] — [BRAVIA Sync settings] — [BRAVIA Sync control— [OFF]. Was on this way. STB didn't accept bravia sync. STB plugged in HDMI1
  • Reboot the television by disconnecting it from the electrical outlet for 1 minute. Done... just in case.

Set Top Box: Arris DCX4220

  • Instead of setting the audio output  to Dolby Digital® or DTS sound, try setting it to output PCM or 2-channel audio. Only audio available on STB is "Stereo"
  • Set an specific output resolution like 1080i or 1080p. Normally is set on 480i (I assume that this is the minimum... but I couldn't change. STB is Full HD 1080p.
  • If you have the option 4 x 3 Override turn this feature Off. I cannot find this option.
  • Reboot your Set Top Box  Done

Problem still there.

I've changed HDMI to differnt ports

I've changed 3 HDMI cables

I've changes 2 STB

I've rotated other STB from differents TV to this TV (problem is still there)

I've called 6 times to Cable company. They changed all the cables from rooftop to home and adjusted the amplifier.

Nothing of this solve the problem.

Below the STB logs from vendor analysis
