Loose Power cord

I purchased my VPCEL26FX/B 15.5-Inch Laptop on Dec 29th so I should be covered by the warranty. Correct?
The power cord is loose and flickers in and out. If I hold it in I can keep a constant charge, if adjust it when the screen goes dim it restores the charge so I know it is the cord. The power end the plugs into the charging port also gets extremely hot.
I cannot find a support location near me and I go to school full time and have daily online assignments so I cannot be without a computer if I were to ship it. Is there no other way to get the cord replaced?

Re: Loose Power cord

Hello,
Welcome to the User Discussion Forums. if you need to wiggle the tip for the DC Jack to make contact with the AC adapter and its getting hot We recommend you discontinue use and contact support at your earliest convenience. Even if you lost your Proof of Purchase, the VPCEL26FX/B released to the public on 9/26/2011 and is still covered under the 1 year manufacturers warranty. http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/suppor ... VPCEL26FXB
There may be other repair options available, speak to tech support and they can work that out with you directly.
