Re: Brightness problem vaio pro

petityao,

You'll need to set the brightness in the power option.  Click on Change Plan Settings and then set the desire brightness for "On Battery" and "Plugged In" then save the settings..

Re: Brightness problem vaio pro

it was already done but this solution doesn't resolve my problem.

It's mainly a software problem.

Re: Brightness problem vaio pro

petityao,

When you remove the AC adapter and go back to power option, is the brightness setting save?  What's the model of your unit?

petityao,

I belive the model number that you have provided "VPC13C5E" is missing a letter?

Re: Brightness problem vaio pro

Hi,

I have the same problem. When I unplug power cable, Screen brightness goes dim and I am unable to increase or decrease brightness. When I used Fn-F5 or F6, Brightness meter is shown but brightness does not change.

Then when I plug in power the brightness does not work (Fn - F5/F6). I have to restart the system for it to work.

Would be great to have a function key or option to turn On/Off the Keyboard Back Light.

My Sony Pro 13 model is SVP1321X9EB.

Can anyone help.

Thanks

varun.

varun1605,

There is a setting for the backlight keyboard, under VAIO Control Center and in Mouse and Keyboard...

Re: Brightness problem vaio pro

Thanks for your reply. It would have been better if there was a Fn key to turn On and Off, instead of going to setting.

How about the brightness. How to resolve that issue?

Re: Brightness problem vaio pro

varun1605,

The only other setting that I know off is in the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel  under Power, set the Display Power Saving Technology to "Off" to see if that changes anything for you...
