Sony VPCF1390X SATA II or SATA III

I have a Sony VPCF1390X CTO purchased in February 2011. I just upgraded the HDD to a Samsung Evo 1T SSD. The Samsung software reports the SSD is connected to a SATA capable of only 3Mbps rather than 6Mbps. What is the HDD interface for this laptop, SATA II or SATA III?

If it is SATA III, any ideas why is is only operating at 3Mbps?

Thanks!

Hi, Cfowler and Dwsmithjr

Welcome to Sony Community!

We do not recommend upgrading or changing the storage media of your computers. Aside from that, Windows 10 operating system will not work well units came with Windows 7.

Regards,

Vincent
